9 yearsI received a call from a firm named CallBlockers, claiming to assist in eliminating annoying phone calls! They contacted my mother, saying there was a ‘refund’ waiting for her and asked for her card information, which I adamantly declined to provide. I suggested they reach out via email instead, and they did, sending me a link to an app designed to take control of my computer remotely! Oddly enough, I opted not to go down that route, and just like that, they hung up. They were quite insistent, though, and I could hear a distinctly British accent in the background.
