At around 7:09 in the morning, I got a ring from 902-460-0879 warning me about some hefty charges on my credit card. I told them it wasn’t me, and they said they’d cancel my card and give me a refund so nobody else could mess about with it. I wasn’t fully awake and answered a couple of easy questions before the call just cut off. With the bad weather we’ve been having, I figured the call dropping wasn’t that strange. I rang my bank straight away just to be on the safe side.
The bank said it wasn’t them ringing and it was definitely a scam. They told me they don’t make calls before 8am and nothing dodgy has shown up on my card. They’ve put a note on my account to watch out for anything weird.
