Suspicious Activity Alert! Received a notification regarding an unrequested package yesterday at 5pm. Surprisingly, another message arrived at 9pm promising forthcoming tracking details. However, the real cause for concern was the midnight text containing the supposed tracking information. Please exercise caution as this appears to be a scam. The deceptive message instructs you to click on a link that claims to direct you to FedEx tracking. However, I strongly advise against doing so. Upon researching FedEx tracking independently, it became clear that no records corresponded to the provided item number. Authentic tracking numbers typically consist of a sequence of alphanumeric characters. Moreover, the website link they implore you to click on merely mimics a legitimate site, further heightening suspicions.

I keep receiving notifications about an unidentified parcel. I had made a purchase on Amazon, assuming that it might be the package in question. However, I just received that particular parcel today via UPS, and yet I am still receiving messages informing me that my order with the reference number #7973785 has been delayed and should arrive by 18th October 2017. To track its progress, please visit FedEx and use the tracking number at govzw.com/2xirk2xm.

Verizon ought to implement automatic blocking for this number. There is absolutely no justification for allowing these calls to come through. I've received two calls from this particular number today alone, on the 3rd of October, 2017.

I would like to have this number, #5855062559, blocked as it is not from my Verizon carrier or account. I suspect that this person may be using some form of spyware on my phone, as they seem to have access to my account.

I have received an identical message from 900080004007 which reads "Free VZW Msg: Your order #491044 is on its way. Track it at FedEx with the govzw.com/91lafbmu". However, I did not place any orders recently. The initial message I received was from 900080004000 stating that my order #491044 was received on 11/25/2016 and that I would receive a tracking information text once my order ships. This raises suspicions as it was the first message received. I contacted Verizon regarding the message from 900080004000 and they informed me that I have no orders on record, pending or otherwise. However, just 21 minutes after that text, Verizon sent me a separate message with accurate data usage information, which I had just checked. It seems unusual that the number 900080004000 actually belongs to Verizon themselves. Quite strange indeed!

I received a couple of messages yesterday and today. One of them stated "Your order #144346 is out for delivery by the carrier. You can track it at FedEx using this link: #govzw.com/0j06ffan." The other message said,"Your order #144346 has been delayed and is expected to arrive on 09/01/2016. You can track it at FedEx using this link: #govzw.com/6xd5udvv." It is rather perplexing as I have not made any purchases and there is no package to be expected.

I've received 10 calls from this particular number, which raises the question of why this is permitted. Is Verizon possibly endorsing such practices to encourage greater usage of minutes and subsequently increase their revenue? - Jack
