This caller had all my details - like where I live, my full name, birthday, and even the school I go to. They keep hanging up when I try calling back. I’ve told the police about it since they also said some really nasty stuff about coming after me at school. Proper creepy situation.

Got a voicemail from this number saying they’d found a Halifax passbook with quite a lot of money and were trying to get in touch. Thing is, I don’t have any account with Halifax at all, so I just deleted the message.

At 6:09pm UK time, a call showed up as "restricted" on my mobile. I fiddled with a few buttons and eventually the number appeared, but without any area code. The date today is 7/6/2023, but the call actually came through on Monday. When I tried dialing back, I kept getting error 5 telling me to add the area code. Seems like they're probably using a calling card or something similar, but why would they have our number? Must be from some shared service provider. If I had to guess, while some might say it's from India, I'd put my money on it being related to Amazon Prime shopping cards. Maybe it's actually someone from a bank on the other end - possibly a rather unpleasant individual, but that's just speculation.

Some bloke rang my mate and left a really dodgy voicemail saying he fancied having a bit of a romp with them or something. It was like, “Hey, is this (my mate’s name)? (Mumbled something like 'I’m George') I wanna, you know, get you from behind if you’re up for it, love.” Proper nasty and creepy, honestly.

Got a couple of calls from someone claiming to be from the DWP, but you could tell it was dodgy - the bloke was sniggering and laughing like it was some sort of joke. Left two separate messages and the language he used was totally foul. Proper weird experience.

I got a call from 8656696, which I found out is from India. Funny thing, I saw a YouTube channel called Scammer Payback and the guy on that channel sounds exactly like the person who called me. I even put their voices side by side and they were the same! The name on the YouTube channel is also Scammer Payback. Someone really needs to put an end to these scammers over in India.

The same unknown individual rang me a staggering fifteen times in December 2015 and then proceeded to bombard me with aggressive and threatening voice messages, followed by cryptic texts that oddly displayed as "Message not found." Ultimately, I was left with no choice but to change my phone number, as it seemed utterly unreliable. Now, rather disconcertingly, I've just gotten another message from the same mysterious caller, only for it to be entirely absent again. I had managed to save the original voicemail onto a SIM card linked to my old number, but unfortunately the mobile provider possesses it and I've since lost access to that message.

Just this past Saturday, they left me a voicemail and I swear you could hear someone banging on a keyboard before this guy said, “I hate this.” It was a bloke’s voice, pretty funny actually. Got a voicemail the other day from someone trying to pitch a timeshare in Williamsburg, VA. I’m on Sprint with an iPhone too, and now I just block them since I recognise the area code. If you're looking to stop these calls, try adding your own local area code at the front when blocking. For instance, I’m in the 757 area, so my block is set for 757-856-6696.
