3 monthsHey Sophia, can you explain? Open questions aren’t really the same. Also, what does support mean to you? Felt like the service was kinda dismissive and made me feel small.Sophia3 monthsA guy called Avi insisted I had to give my name, Chris, and my age. Both came across as really rude and like they were talking down to me. This isn’t about a preference or desire, it’s the law. Data Protection’s been around since 1998 and is supposed to keep stuff private - but I guess not if you have to say your name and age out loud. Avi just didn't get it.AviChrisData Protection3 monthsI got a message with a smiley face when I was proper upset. Felt really dismissive and like they were looking down on me. Made me feel like they thought I was silly or something.2 yearsI told them I was managing okay and then suddenly the police were knocking at my door?? After not replying for a short while, she reached out to check in, I reassured her I was alright and wanted to end the chat, then I opted out. Next thing I know, the cops are there?? It felt totally over the top and I let her know that. Also, a lot of volunteers come off as quite rude or full of themselves. Out of all the times I’ve reached out, only one volunteer actually seemed genuinely caring.2 yearsSuper nice and gave me lots of help :)2 yearsNo reply from them at all.2 yearsI kept sending them messages and got no reply at all. My dad passed away just last week and it feels like they couldn’t care less. Honestly, don’t bother texting them, they don’t respond. I’m dealing with a really tough situation and they’re completely ignoring me!3 yearsI believe this number belongs to SHOUT Crisis Messenger, which I think operates only in the UK? Either way, it’s definitely genuine and trustworthy.UK4 yearsI've been trying to reach Crisis Messenger but haven't had any luck. Does anyone know if they're still running? Need to talk urgently.4 yearsshout is a lifesaver when it comes to mental health help. whenever i'm feeling really low, they’re there with proper support. can't recommend their service enough, especially if you’re struggling and need someone to talk to. it’s brilliant that this kind of support is easily available.5 yearsGot a call from this number and they were shouting really loud, it made me feel uneasy and I was worried about my mental health after that. Definitely didn’t feel safe at all.6 yearsThere’s this mental health texting thing called Shout, which is pretty safe to use. If you’ve got an 02 number, sending a text to them won’t cost you a penny. The people on the other end aren’t qualified therapists or anything, but they’re volunteers kind of like the Samaritans. If you’re feeling anxious or down, they’ll reply and really listen to what you have to say. They also keep your details private, so no need to worry about sharing info.Shout6 yearsThe crisis text service from Shout claims to be free, but honestly, it isn’t.Submit Your Own Report (85258)
