A lady named Veronica called me saying, "How are you today?" right at the start. When I asked which firm she was calling on behalf of, she claimed to be ringing from London - which sounded fishy. She then went on about my computer sending out warning signs. I hung up straight away and looked up the number she called from. It’s frustrating that nothing’s really stopping these types of calls because I’m sure some folks could be tricked into letting her access their computers, putting their personal info and money at risk.

This number has been ringing me non-stop for the past few days, even through the weekend. They never leave a message or say anything, just keep calling over and over. Luckily, I’ve got an answerphone, so I don’t have to pick up every time. Still, it’s really annoying and a proper nuisance!

Today, this number rang my home phone a couple of times. Sometimes there was a muffled accent I couldn't quite make out, other times it just went silent and ended the call. Very strange.
