I keep getting calls from this number claiming to be from the Windows tech support folks. They tell me my computer’s got issues and is running slow because hackers are targeting me or something. When I told them I wasn’t keen and got a bit suspicious, the guy, who sounded Indian, suddenly got rude and cut the chat short, so I just hung up. My number’s listed publicly, so no idea how they even got it to call me outta nowhere!

Got a call from an Indian guy saying he was from Microsoft and that there was some kind of error with my computer software. I quickly told him I wasn't going to fix anything over the phone.

Just got a phone call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft’s tech support (yeah, right!). A guy with an Asian accent speaking English told me there was a problem with Windows on my computer. I told him, “I don’t actually own a PC,” and he replied, “Our system shows you have a laptop.” I said, “Nope, don’t have one of those either.” Then, well... the call just dropped. Pretty sure these scams are to trick you into giving remote access to your device. It’s an old scam but guess it must still fool people, otherwise they wouldn’t bother. I’m based in the UK.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft. They told me hackers were nearby and even gave me my computer licence number, then asked me to verify it on my PC. Didn’t accept me saying no and kept insisting they’d call me again in 15 minutes. The person sounded like they were Indian or Asian and spoke English.
