9 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be “The Travel Department” saying I was an important Hyatt customer (which I definitely am not) and that I could get a massive discount on a trip to Cabo San Lucas or some posh place for just $149. My phone’s spam filter immediately flagged it as junk - no surprise there. The way they said “Hyatt” sounded off, I actually had to play the message back a few times to be sure what they were saying. The number they wanted me to call was 888-735-8970, which I checked online and found it’s listed as a spam source on this site and others. I haven’t stayed at a Hyatt for yonks, maybe ten years, and never signed up for their loyalty scheme.
