4 yearsI got hit with some online spoofing stuff. A popup popped up looking like a legit Microsoft security alert saying my PC was locked and to ring 1-845-302-8951. I called but no one picked up and I just hung up. Later, I got a call from "CITI" showing 1-888-766-2484 on my screen. I stupidly gave them my name and postcode before being put on hold. Realising I’d made a mistake, I just had to force a restart with CTRL ALT DEL. Seriously, don’t get caught out by this scam. Never call that 845 number.
