I received a rather alarming message on my computer, purportedly from "Microsoft." Regrettably, I ended up dialling the number provided. The conversations I had with the following numbers felt very much like a scam: (866) 952-9523 and (806) 969-4406. Thankfully, I decided against complying with their dubious instructions. Once I was convinced it was all a con, I switched off my phone to cut off any further nonsense.
