This is the first time I've had one of these calls on my mobile (we ditched our landline thanks to some pushy telemarketer). It's the same old story, asking for a call back or for my solicitor to get in touch to discuss halting some legal proceedings regarding taxes. I really ought to have picked up-I'd have given him a piece of my mind about his so-called action!

I just had a rather peculiar call from this number. On the line was a recorded message purporting to be from the "tax crime" division of the CRA, whatever that’s supposed to mean. They insisted that either I or my solicitor must return the call, and there was a rather ominous 'or else' at the end, though their accent was so thick it was difficult to decipher the actual threat. Given my profession as a tax accountant, I can categorically state that there is no such division within the CRA; in fact, they refer to them as 'departments,’ not 'divisions.' I've since contacted the CRA to inform them about the bizarre call. They're already aware of this ongoing scam, and apparently, the RCMP is also involved. Best to disregard any communications you might receive from this number-save yourself the trouble!

I keep receiving calls from individuals claiming to be from the CRA and asking for money, all with an Eastern Indian accent! Honestly, just end the call! We've informed Revenue Canada about it, and they mentioned it’s a yearly occurrence! Seriously, just hang up on them!

This morning, I received a rather alarming call from this number. I tried returning the call several times, but every time I asked for further clarification, the line mysteriously went silent. It was quite a nerve-wracking experience, as the caller suggested I might face criminal charges for tax fraud, which is utterly false!
