I received a call from someone requesting my National Insurance number. It's puzzling, as one would expect United Healthcare to ask for a membership number instead, don’t you think? What’s the reasoning behind this?

This isn't anything novel when it comes to scams. UHC permits third-party organisations to engage in such practices, all in the pursuit of making a quick buck. A while back, I received a call from someone with a thick accent who was probing into some rather private details about my medication, suggesting I might need alternatives. I couldn't help but retort, “Who on earth do you think you are? Do you even possess a medical licence or access to my health records?” It seems like UHC is forever concocting schemes to boost their own bottom line. It's best to steer clear of these tricks and just say no.

I reached out to United HealthCare to report that there was a certain individual misusing their name. The representative I spoke to assured me that it was indeed a genuine telemarketing call from their online pharmacy, Optum. I expressed my concern that this method of soliciting sensitive information is likely to deter potential customers, as many folks simply aren't inclined to share personal details with someone who calls them. She appeared to grasp my point, and I wondered if this might prompt a shift in their sales strategy going forward.

After allowing it to ring without answering, I decided to return the call. The individual who picked up identified themselves as being from "United Healthcare" and asked how they could assist me. Whether it's genuinely them or not remains a mystery. I opted not to engage further in the conversation. I’ll verify this later by consulting my insurance card.

Received a call from Uptum RX today, and when I inquired about the reason for their call, the representative mentioned something regarding a prescription. I informed them that I get all my prescriptions sorted at my nearby chemist. Almost instantly, they asked me to confirm if I reside at XXXX NoName Street. I reiterated that I had no interest in their services and had already explained this to them in a previous conversation. Then they probed further with my birth date: XX/XX/19XX. I swiftly responded with a curt goodbye and ended the call. Definitely seems like some sort of scam!

I've received numerous calls from this number lately. Today, I finally answered and the person on the other end claimed to be from United Health Care. However, when I inquired about the purpose of their call, they mumbled some incoherent response and then stated that they'd ring me back later. I promptly told them not to waste their time as I suspected it was a scam!

This number keeps ringing my phone without leaving any messages. We’ve chosen not to pick up, yet the calls just keep coming. It's getting rather annoying!

I received a call that popped up as Uptum RX on my caller ID, which is amusing since they’re really known as Optum Rx. They had the gall to claim they were affiliated with United Healthcare. The strange bit? They were fishing for more details-just enough to fill in the blanks on my prescription-but their knowledge was frustratingly incomplete. It’s clearly a scam attempt, as they’re trying to con someone into revealing crucial personal information like name, date of birth and year. This situation really raises some alarm bells; I can't help but think that perhaps either Optum RX or United Healthcare has suffered a breach of security.

The caller ID displayed the name "Uptum Rx," which seems rather dodgy compared to "Optum Rx." It’s definitely a scam-it didn’t leave any messages either.

Received a call purporting to be from United Health Care. They had my wife's date of birth but were clueless about the year, which raised a red flag. Thankfully, my wife decided to end the conversation.

I keep getting calls from this number on my mobile at least once a week, and I haven't the foggiest idea who it is. I really wish they'd take the hint and stop ringing me, as I'm definitely not picking up! It's becoming quite tiresome!

I've received a message claiming there's some sort of fraudulent activity linked to my tax return, and they've asked me to get in touch with them again.
