Somebody rang me up claiming my credit card had been lost or stolen, which seemed odd since my bank hasn't flagged anything like that. It was one of those automated messages, and the caller kinda butchered my name too. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

I keep getting calls and voicemails on both my work and mobile from these people saying they have evidence I wrote a cheque from a closed account. It’s definitely a scam. Don’t ever share any details with them. If you get calls like this, report the number and all the info they give you to the police and even the FBI, but don’t give away anything yourself. If you haven’t gotten a letter from anywhere, it’s a con. This number pops up all over online.
