8 yearsI kept getting calls from this number and had no clue who it was. So, I decided to call back later when I had time to actually catch them off guard. Someone answered straight away - sounded like a Middle Eastern woman, like I saw in another comment here. She started off asking my name, but I flipped it and said, “Who exactly is this? Why are you ringing me?” She wouldn’t share anything about who she was, just wanted my details. I told her if she was calling me then she should tell me her name and which company she’s from. We went back and forth for a bit, but then she just hung up on me! I always quiz these callers - if they’re genuine, they’ll tell you everything so you can check with the company yourself. But most times, they’re dodgy and just disconnect. Don’t hand over your personal info to random numbers!9 yearsTotally dodgy people. They speak with a Middle Eastern accent and their only question is something like, “Is this blah blah?” If you don’t respond or ask who’s calling, they just cut the call straight away. When I rang back, a different guy answered - it was a bit clearer English this time - but he refused to say what company he was from. Instead, he just kept asking for my name, saying it was to pass me on to someone else. Felt really fishy.
