A rather dubious chap rang me up, claiming to be from a company called Nationwide Document Delivery. He insisted that he had some legal papers to deliver and provided me with a number for something called Trojan Financial. Upon ringing him back, he informed me that I was allegedly being sued over an old Wells Fargo account that had supposedly been sent to collections, demanding a sum of £1500. Naturally, I decided to reach out to Wells Fargo myself, and they confirmed that there were no records whatsoever of any accounts being charged off in my name. I told the bloke to send someone round to my home if he felt it was necessary. I suspect he was trying to intimidate me into coughing up some cash over the phone, but he failed miserably. What makes me uneasy is that he had both my full name and social security number. It's worth noting that I was one of the unfortunate souls affected by that Equifax data breach fiasco.

I received a rather alarming message about potential legal action if I didn't return a call. They also got my name completely incorrect!
