Got a call from someone claiming to be Silver Lake Law Office, said I had to ring them back so they could send some crucial papers. Turns out it’s a dodgy debt collection scam. Be warned!

I keep getting calls from them and I’m really fed up, I wish there was a way to make sure they don’t bother other folks too.

Got a call accusing me of check fraud over a payday loan I never applied for. They already had some of my personal details. I told them I didn't want any letters or documents sent to my address about this supposed debt. They then threatened to bring the case to court.

Got a call accusing me of check fraud tied to some online payday loan with a company called Bayside, which I’ve never even heard of or applied for. They actually had some of my personal details, which freaked me out. When I asked them to send me something in writing about this supposed debt, the guy insisted that just telling me over the phone was enough. I told him I didn’t owe them anything as I never took a loan from Bayside and then just ended the call.
