Turns out it’s something called Fit Weekly Heal Program, which I’ve never signed up for or anything.10 yearsI placed an order on 24th November 2016 for $4.95, with some US fees bringing it to $6.87, but then they slipped on an extra $1.99 charge without telling me. This morning I got a call from a number starting with 1855, but there was nobody on the other end so I just hung up. When I checked my bank later, £27 had been taken from my account! They rang again while I was on the phone with the bank, but I ignored it. I ended up closing my bank account straight away, even though they said investigations can take 48 hours. I figured it’s better to accept the loss than risk them dragging it out, especially if I left the account open. Normally, I’m really careful with online orders but I let my guard down this time. Learned a tough lesson about how sketchy things can get with tech these days. I've blocked their number, so now it’s just waiting and hoping the authorities catch these scammers.
