They were simply attempting to recover a debt that had been inaccurately listed by a bank I used to associate with, which is now no longer operational. To my surprise, they’re based in Orange County, California. They seemed to know my name and home address and insisted that I needed to return their call before the end of the day, or else face some unpleasant repercussions.
