I recently had an encounter with someone named Karen Smith, who left me a rather perplexing voicemail. She claimed to have some documents on her desk that contained the last four digits of my Social Security number and mentioned something about me being "summed"-whatever that might mean. Strangely, she provided no context regarding the situation at all. When I rang the number back out of curiosity, the voicemail didn’t indicate it belonged to any business or court. It simply stated, "You’ve reached Karen Smith; I'm currently unavailable. Please leave your name and number, and I’ll get back to you when I can." Quite mysterious, wouldn’t you say?
