Just to let everyone know, these calls seem to come from some app called "ownage prank caller" or something like that. I reckon they're using that for these prank calls.

I'm just 13 and live in the UAE. This bloke with an Arab accent rang me up asking if I'd ordered six big pepperoni pizzas. I told him I dunno, maybe I should check with my cat, gave me a minute. But actually, I was googling cat noises and played them on loop until he finally gave up and hung up. While those sounds were on, he kept shouting things like "I'm on my way to your place NOW!" and "You're gonna be in loads of trouble!" and "You have to pay for those pizzas!" Pretty funny if you ask me.

So this bloke from the US kept ringing my work phone, shouting about why I supposedly called his girlfriend in the dead of night. I'm a woman living in the UAE, and obviously I never made any such call. I tried to explain calmly that he's dialling a work number, not anyone’s personal phone, but he just yelled louder. Honestly, I just hung up, but he didn't stop calling. I blocked him, then unblocked just to see if I got it wrong somehow. Nope, he rang again, going on about being Alex and how I called his girlfriend at some ungodly hour. I told him he was nuts and blocked his number again. What idiots. If that was a local UAE number, I'd have called the cops to have the guy locked up for months. Someone mentioned above that maybe it's some prank, but that’s just daft. If you’re gonna do stuff like this, try it from a UAE number - I promise I’ll sort you out properly!

Basically, it's some kind of automated prank call from somebody who already has your phone number. It’s meant to annoy you for a while, then eventually they’ll say something like "gotcha" at the end - if you manage to stick it out without hanging up first!

This number called me earlier, and some weird American robot was talking about some medical place and a patient with some sickness they got recently. As soon as I heard that, I ended the call ’cause it was just too strange. Also, I was in the library at my school here in the UK doing my homework, so kinda odd timing for that sort of call. Just got a call from that number, they were claiming there was an issue with my computer. The guy had an accent, sounded like he might have been from India or Pakistan. It was pretty late here in the UK, almost midnight. I live in Somerset usually but at the moment I’m staying at my sister’s place up in Middlesbrough. I lost my temper and ended up calling him a "bloody idiot" and told him to "get lost!". Not usually swearing like that but honestly, getting calls that late really gets on my nerves!

So this guy, sounded African American, was asking why I kept ringing his girlfriend late at night... But here’s the thing, I’m Dutch, so why on earth would he be calling me in the first place? Madness.

I got a call from some American bloke saying we’re scheduled for a cable test tomorrow anytime between 9 and 5, about a kids’ TV package or something. It felt a bit odd, so I just hung up. Then, they rang me back like twice right after I’d ended the call. Weird experience.
