I got a voicemail from a woman called Evelyn saying there was an initial investigation involving my social security number ending in 0743, which actually matches mine. The message said I had to get in touch with them before 2pm EST, or else I'd face hefty fines and maybe even a warrant for my arrest. She sounded pretty professional and well-prepared, but she never mentioned which company or agency she was representing. She also provided a reference number: 3731940743.

They were really rude and kinda threatening. When I asked who they were or what organisation they represented, they wouldn't say a word. There's no way I'm giving them any of my details.
