A couple of months back, I got a call from this number saying something about a debt. It all felt a bit off, but my missus insisted we just sort it out, so I went ahead and paid it. Now I've realised it was a scam, is there anything I can do legally to get this sorted or maybe get my money back?

I got a call from this number saying they were some kind of licensed processor for the government and that they needed to deliver a summons for charges against me. The lady called Amanda Spencer gave me a case number and told me to ring back urgently. Total rubbish. Just some debt collector trying to sound important and freak me out. They don’t realise loads of people are clued up on the FDCPA and what’s allowed under the law. Honestly, I think I might end up taking legal action because they left stuff on my voicemail that definitely shouldn’t be there.
