I just had a rather concerning voicemail left by this number, claiming to be a representative from Comcast. She mentioned something about checking the operation of my home security system and threw in a bit about billing as well. Naturally, I was a bit dubious, so I dialled up the official customer service number for Xfinity/Comcast that I’ve had on hand to verify whether this was genuine, given that the number from which I was contacted differed from their usual one. To my dismay, they confirmed that this was definitely not from their team, and in fact, it’s a telemarketing scam. If you happen to receive similar calls, do yourself a favour: block the number and report it to the company they falsely claim to represent. Call type: Suspected Scam
