My 91 year old mum has been getting calls from this number everyday, with a recorded voice asking for me or my dad - who sadly died 15 years ago. It’s really worrying us because it’s affecting her mental wellbeing. Mum never answers, but they just keep ringing. Yesterday they even called me on my mobile. After looking into the number, I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of scam, but I’m not sure what to do next. Can anyone advise me?

JUST BLOCK IT, DON'T EVEN PICK UP This company is a total scam!!! They definitely have your personal info but they're completely fake. Don’t trust the people calling, it’s obvious they’re running a con. I got angry and told them off because they knew everything about me like others have said. After digging a bit, I found out: if anyone says they’re from "IPS" about debt collection, be careful. International Processing Solution isn’t linked to any debt collection at all. Anyone using their name is doing something dodgy, probably trying to scam you. I called the original company on 800.439.1974 and they told me they’re looking into this fraud. There’s even a claim filed with the FTC. You can call that number to get the claim details. Make sure to let the credit bureaus know about possible identity theft too. What I really want to know is, how did these people get my personal details in the first place???

I got a call addressed to my brother, with some kind of reference number they mentioned. When I rang them back to find out more, they just ended the call straight away.
