I've been receiving persistent calls on behalf of my 91-year-old mother from a recorded message that's requesting to speak to either me or my late father, who has been gone for 15 years. It's quite distressing for our family, particularly concerning my mother's emotional wellbeing. She doesn't engage with the calls, but they keep ringing her line daily, and to make matters worse, they've now started calling my mobile as well. After doing some digging, I've come to the conclusion that it’s a scam of sorts, yet I’m at a loss as to how to put an end to this nuisance. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I've got to warn everyone-this company reeks of scams! It's clear they're not on the up and up. They definitely have your personal data, and I wouldn’t trust a word they say. I had a right go at them, and they had every detail about me, just like others have mentioned. It had me worrying, so I did some digging and discovered this: If you've been approached by anyone claiming to work for "IPS" concerning debt collection, tread carefully. International Processing Solution has no ties to debt collection practices. Any group using their name is likely up to no good. I rang this number, 800.439.1974, and found out that the actual company is looking into these shady operations, and they've lodged a complaint with the FTC. If you give them a call, you can get the claim number. Also, make sure to alert all credit agencies about potential identity theft! But I can't for the life of me figure out how they got hold of my personal information in the first place!
