I mentioned that I would need to consult my solicitor before proceeding further. The woman on the other end was rather ill-mannered, and after a brief, unsatisfactory conversation, I ended the call. Later, I rang back, only to speak with another representative. I informed her that my lawyer had advised me to request a formal letter detailing the origin and amount of the debt, among other things. To my surprise, she responded with a string of expletives and promptly hung up. Naturally, I wasn’t going to let that slide, so I called back approximately 15 times, only to be met with a message stating, “this number doesn’t exist.” Quite convenient, isn’t it? This just confirms they’re up to no good. Turn the tables on them-don’t let these scammers intimidate you!11 yearsI really wish these individuals would cease their relentless calls. I keep receiving messages claiming I owe £300 for a payday loan that I certainly never applied for. They threaten to drag me to court, but when I challenge them on it, they simply hang up!
