They gained control of my computer and told me my security software wasn’t working properly, so they needed to update it. When I asked if it was free, they told me the price for the protection started at £180 for a year, and it could go even higher. I said I couldn’t pay that much. They dropped the price down to £55 but I still said I couldn’t afford it. Then they threatened that my computer would stop working forever if I didn’t pay.
