I was expecting to reach Verizon, but instead some bloke with a strange accent picked up and started asking for my email, full name, birthday, and then my credit card details. He was promising a £100 gift card sent by email. I ended the call right when they asked for my card info. Looks like a classic scam trying to steal personal info. I didn’t put the 1 before the 800 number like I usually do from my mobile, which normally isn’t necessary. Fingers crossed I haven’t given away anything important.

So, I got this automated call warning me my Verizon service would be cut off because I hadn’t paid. They told me to press either 1 or 2, but neither option did anything. It didn’t add up since I have automatic payments set up and have for years. What really gets me worried are those stealthy spyware tools the government uses, like Pegasus and Phantom. Pegasus is meant for international phones and Phantom targets US numbers. It’s baffling why they’d want to spy on me, unless I’m some sort of random cover for their true targets. Fingers crossed this was just some harmless spam call and nothing worse.

I actually dialled this number by mistake when I was trying to get through to Verizon’s customer care. The person on the other end immediately began pushing ATT plans on me, so I just ended the call. It was only after that I realised I had the wrong number for Verizon Wireless.

Got a call one time but ended up with two voicemails from them, both just automated messages saying my Verizon service was suspended. Thing is, I don't even have Verizon directly, I use StraightTalk which runs on Verizon's network but it's prepaid, so no actual Verizon account for me. I usually top up with phone cards and don't even set up an account with StraightTalk. Also, if my account really was suspended, wouldn't my phone just be dead? Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

I got a voicemail saying my Verizon account was frozen or something and they asked me to call back to sort it out. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

I just noticed a £325 charge from Verizon on my MasterCard. Anyone know why they took this money and who authorised it?

Got a weird 5 second voicemail in English, but it was just complete gibberish and didn’t really mean anything.
