So, I was just going about my usual business on the Walmart website when I entered my email address-probably how these scammers got hold of it. As I clicked 'continue', rather than being taken to the usual password entry screen, a message popped up indicating I was going to receive a verification call. Normally, I'm used to getting that code via email. The call came in, and without thinking much, I picked up. The voice on the line asked if I wanted to verify something, and I replied in the affirmative. Then it thanked me, stating I'd just authorised a $499 plan from Walmart! This has got to be a scam, and it seems like these dodgy characters have either spoofed Walmart's number or somehow compromised their online system-or possibly both. It's honestly quite alarming!

I have a sneaking suspicion that this number is being misused for dodgy dealings. While it does belong to Walmart, I've received calls from them that raised my eyebrows, and it turns out that everyone I know who's had a similar experience felt the same way. It seems quite probable that someone's gotten crafty and is impersonating this number to pull off some sort of con.

I received a rather dubious call earlier, the person on the line had a distinct Chinese accent but hung up without leaving a voicema. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a rather peculiar call from this number, where I was prompted to participate in a survey. Out of the blue, they claimed that my account had been frozen due to some repeated orders. Then they spun a yarn about someone allegedly impersonating me to apply for a credit card! To top it all off, they assured me they would connect me to the police station. Please exercise caution; this is undoubtedly a scam!
