I saw I missed a call earlier and there was a voicemail claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency. They said I supposedly have an open case and threatened an arrest warrant if I don’t ring them back! Honestly, I was a bit shaken at first, but I quickly realised this must be a scam. So don’t bother replying or calling this number, it’s just a bother!

I think the company was called ADSE or ASDE or something similar.

I've been getting nonstop calls from this number here in Ontario, with loads of “urgent” voicemails too. It’s clear they’re just annoying and best left unanswered. The frustrating part is there’s no easy way to block them, so the calls just keep piling up. The phone companies won’t lift a finger unless it hits their profits, sadly. If you’re thinkin’ about switching or updating your phone plan - be it iPhone, Android, whatever - make sure to ask the provider how they’ll stop these nuisance calls. If they can’t promise a fix, just pass. We’ve got the spending power, might as well use it to push for better service!

Got a call at 6:18pm AST on the 7th of December, 2017, but I didn’t pick up and they didn’t leave a voicemail. Interestingly, this number also rang me on the 26th of November the same year. I switched my mobile number after both those calls, yet somehow they still managed to get hold of my new one. My provider’s Rogers, and now I’m half wondering if someone inside their company is leaking info.

I never gave my number out to anyone, so I have no idea how this person got hold of it and called me. Honestly, mobile providers ought to implement a 'white-list' system rather than just blocking numbers after the fact. I’d only consider getting a phone or mobile plan if they included a white-list option as a standard feature, not something you have to pay extra for. It’s basically like junk mail but for calls, just annoying as bad old post spam.

I started getting calls on my personal mobile from a US number, didnt pick up. Ever since I set up a new domain with Godaddy back in June, loads of calls and emails have been coming to both my home and private phone. Most of them are from India, pushing web services.
