On one occasion, I picked up, and a chap on the other end claimed he was from Accounts Receivable. He wanted me to confirm my details to supposedly ensure he had the right individual on the line. When I pressed him about the nature of the call, he was quite evasive, only mentioning it was regarding a "personal business matter" and persisted in asking for my information.
