A woman called claiming to be from Medicare Part D and said she had to confirm my mum’s prescriptions. Mum’s 99, and the lady said her name was Michelle and wanted details like her birth date, zip code, and prescription names. I told her I’d ring back later. After looking up the number online, turns out it’s a scam. Glad I picked up instead of mum. Honestly, someone needs to do something to stop these dodgy calls.

Had a call early this morning from a number I didn’t recognise, so I let my answering machine pick it up. The message said it was an important call from CVS Silverscript and gave a number to ring them back, 800-511-8387, finishing with a cheerful “have a great day.” Glad I looked up the number online before calling back because there were loads of warnings from others. A few weeks back, I got a similar call saying they were from medicare.gov about lab tests. I checked with Medicare directly and they confirmed they weren’t contacting me. I’ve since reported these calls to the Federal Trade Commission and Trans Union. Really, if you’re an older person, watch out for these pesky scammers!

Got calls from this place like 15 times over just a few days. They kept asking about refilling prescriptions. Seems like they're just tricking older folks. I'd say just block them.

They ring me no matter what time it is, day or night. Definitely a scam, best to not pick up.

I just pressed the TALK button and stayed silent, waiting for them to give up and hang up. It’s actually a pretty good way to annoy telemarketers. Another fun trick is pretending to be interested, then tossing out a fake credit card number. When they say the charge gets declined, I provide another fake one. Then I suggest sending the order COD, and if they agree, I give them an address that doesn’t exist. ________________ Caller: Can I speak to Mrs. Smith? She’s driving back now, can you wait a moment? After about 90 seconds, if they’re still on the line... She’s chatting on her mobile with her daughter. Looks like she’s about to hang up. Just a bit more time and she’ll be able to talk. Oh, she’s just ended the call. Caller asks who was calling. Who? She says she doesn’t know anyone by that name. Just wait a minute and I think she’ll pick up. A minute later, she asks why they’re ringing her. Then the caller’s line suddenly cuts off.

My mum got a call from someone claiming to be Silver Script asking if she wanted them to call in a prescription that was about to run out. Luckily, she didn’t share any details. Definitely a scam. Just a heads up to all the elderly folks - watch out!

Call cuts off as soon as it hits voicemail. Looks like one of those robocall things.

I’ve been getting calls from that number too. Because I don’t recognise it, I just ignore and don’t pick up. They never bother to leave any voicemail either. These calls keep coming every couple of hours, and annoyingly, they even ring my mobile. The info you shared didn’t really clear things up for me, I’m still unsure if 800 511 8387 is a genuine number or not.

Was a number I didn’t recognise so I just let it ring through to voicemail. When I checked, there was no message left or anything.
