Got a call from a number but no name or message was left.

Got calls from this number a couple of times early this morning around 5am. I picked up twice and both times they just said "oh, wrong number" before hanging up. Then they rang again later, which was really strange.

Had a call from someone claiming to be Dell’s sales support. Sounded convincing at first but seemed a bit off when I asked specific questions about my order. Not sure if it was legit or just another sales push. Definitely felt like one of those persistent sales calls!

I got a call earlier that I missed, but there wasn't any voicemail left. The number showed up as Oklahoma Federal Credit Union on my caller ID. I'm in Canada, so I'm not sure why a bank from the US would ring me. When I tried calling back, it went straight to some automatic answering system. Just as it was about to connect me, I ended up hanging up.

I saw I missed a call and the voicemail light was on, so I had a look. No message was left though, they just cut off. If it had been a proper call, surely they'd leave a message right?

I got a call from this number today at around 4:27 PM on 26/10/2018. The person asked if I’d gotten any electronics or a laptop delivered to me, telling me I had to send it back because they were sending me a replacement. Thing is, my online school did send me something similar, but when I said I’d return it after the new one arrived, the caller started making up some excuses. The strange part was that their English was actually pretty clear.

This number appears right at the bottom of Dell’s official website. I got a call from it and an Indian guy picked up. When he asked for my shipping info, I requested to talk to his manager. The manager said it was just a routine check to confirm the shipment was going to a US location. Instead of me giving my address, he read out the address he had and asked me if it was right, which it was. I doubt it’s a scam, just a bit irritating that Dell is outsourcing this stuff.

I get calls from these people all the time, trying to trick me into letting them into my computer. It’s clearly a scam. They just won’t give up and keep ringing me over and over. I’m not sure what it’s going to take for them to finally quit.

For a couple of months now, I've been dealing with a dodgy virus that popped up after I was watching the news on tvstation.com. It completely froze my laptop and started showing loads of scam phone numbers, supposedly from Google Chrome and Microsoft. It kept interrupting different sites like Bing News, the TV news site, and even when I was checking Gmail. Eventually, Dell sent me a survey to fill in, which I did. Since then, this number 18004563355 has been blowing up my mobile, but weirdly, I only get voicemails from people named Mia and Katelyn about some "investigation" - never get the chance to speak to anyone live.

Even after I got rid of my Dell PC, these calls kept coming. What finally made them stop was me blowing an air horn right into the phone's mic.
Fast forward two years, and we found out someone stole our identity. They set up a Verizon phone account with four different numbers linked to it before it got caught and shut down. Weirdly, one of those numbers was the old Dell one, and it was for incoming calls.

They ring me up nearly every month and leave a message telling me to ring Katlyn at extension 7230215 or on this direct number 512 173-0215. Seems like a total scam, but it’s odd because they call me just a couple days after I’ve been dealing with Dell themselves... How they managed to get my info is seriously worrying. Dell really needs to check their security. The caller sounds Indian, with like a noisy call centre buzzing in the background, but he’s pretending to be from Richmond, maybe to throw Dell off the scent and make them think the calls are from India instead of Canada.

Got loads of calls on my mobile from 1-800-456-3355 after I bought a Dell laptop off what I thought was their legit website. After ignoring the first few calls, I got annoyed and picked up on the fourth ring. I was wondering how they even got my mobile number - feels like my info might’ve leaked somewhere. The person on the phone had a strong Indian accent and kept saying stuff I couldn’t catch. Eventually they asked if I’d just ordered a computer. I asked who they were, and they plain said “a Dell sales rep.” I didn’t bother staying on and just hung up. I rang Dell the following day and they didn’t seem to know anything about it, or maybe they just wouldn’t say anything. Would definitely keep an eye on your card for any dodgy activity, or better yet, cancel it and get a new one.

Got about 3 or 4 calls from 800-456-3355 claiming to be Dell, but I'm pretty sure they weren’t legit. I stupidly let them access my computer and now it’s completely messed up. Wouldn’t recommend anyone picking up if that number rings you - total scam.

Warning, definite SCAM! Got two calls from 18004563355 claiming they needed to verify my credit card for an order I've never made. The caller said they were from a call centre in India, and the agent introduced themselves as "cr*ppy" (seriously). I was just browsing laptops, not specifically Dell. What's creepy is they already had my personal info, and there’s a $1950 charge waiting on my card. I've had to cancel the card and dispute that charge. Dell really needs to step up their customer protection. This experience has put me off buying from them entirely.

Earlier this year, I picked up a Dell desktop from Costco, but the WiFi keeps cutting out randomly, and when it wakes up from sleep, the screen just goes white. I rang Dell for help, and they gave me another number to call. When I called that, they asked to remote into my PC, which immediately felt dodgy. They then told me I had to pay over £200 for a yearly plan or more than £100 for a one-time fix. Eventually, I discovered their office was based in India... I honestly can’t believe Dell would be involved with this sort of scammy behaviour. I’m never going to buy Dell stuff again, that’s for sure.

I got a call from this number claiming to be Dell. I had ordered a laptop a few weeks ago and was tracking the delivery. The woman on the phone wanted my credit card details to “update” my info. I didn’t share anything. She then said she'd email me a link to click on, warning that if I didn’t, my order would be cancelled. I rang Dell myself afterwards and they confirmed my order was still fine. Just a heads up, never give out personal info to callers like that!

Got an email and a couple of calls from someone saying they’re M.Azeez at dell.com. The message claimed my order was delayed because my credit card details were wrong or missing. They wanted me to ring Dell at 91-1866-383-4713 Extn.4161361 to sort it out, warning if I didn’t reply within one day the order would be cancelled. The email was in both English and French and looked pretty official. But when I rang Dell Canada myself to check, there was no issue with the order at all. Seems like a dodgy attempt to catch personal info. So watch out for these kinds of scams pretending to be from legit companies!

Lately, loads of odd calls have been coming through from someone claiming to be 'Dell Tech Concierge.' From what I’ve heard, these guys are pretty notorious for scamming folks. Dell says it’s not them and suggests it might be a security issue on my side, but honestly, I don’t buy it. Either Dell’s leaked my data or their system’s been compromised because lots of others are getting the same calls. The number mentioned above rang me today too, and I honestly can’t tell if it’s legit Dell or just another scam. Either way, I’m not taking any chances. Honestly, Dell, this is really messed up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Dell, supposedly reaching out to business partners. She wanted to help me sort out something related to a purchase I made half a year ago, but it had nothing to do with my work. She barely had any details, only that it was an adapter. At one point, she left me waiting on hold ages, then came back saying she’d have to call me again later. I told her I ordered a wireless adapter for my laptop six months ago, but she seemed clueless. She didn’t know I never actually got the item, that I’d been refunded, or that it might’ve been out of stock. Then the weirdest bit: she said the system expected her to keep ringing me every few months! I asked her to take me off that list immediately, which she did without fuss. Honestly, I have no idea why anyone would make such a pointless call with barely any info to share. Sorry for the rant, but I wouldn't trust this kind of business call. Plus, the number on my caller ID looked dodgy too.
