This number kept ringing me every single day, and when I finally answered, I didn’t say anything at all. The person on the other end was just quiet, which made me suspicious. Didn’t recognise the number at all. No matter if it’s meant to be from a charity or something, these days almost any unexpected call is probably a scam. Even if the caller ID shows a proper name, it might not be real. There’s just too many dodgy calls going around now.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada runs this thing called the Kidney Clothes Program, located at 29 Gervais Drive, Suite 208 in North York, ON M3C 1H9. You can reach them at [email protected]. They’re also active on Facebook and Flickr. I stumbled on their website the other day where they have a YouTube clip featuring a young girl packing a minivan and driving off - well, they don’t actually show her driving, but they do show her arriving at her destination and unloading. Honestly, she seems way too young to be behind the wheel!
