I just got an email from PayPal saying £899.99 was taken from my account. It told me to ring the number provided if it wasn’t me. When I logged into my PayPal, I saw the payment was cancelled anyway. Pretty suspicious!

On 26/11/22 at about 10:06, I got an email claiming to be from Paypal with the number +44 800 368 3973. It said £1299.76 had been taken out of my Paypal for an iPhone purchase. I never made any such purchase. The message said something like "Joseph Leyva has sent you a money request. If this is fraud, call us on that number right away to cancel and get a refund." I didn’t ring them. I checked my Paypal and saw the amount was showing as pending but didn’t appear on my permanent transactions once I checked with Paypal’s help. I managed to cancel it straight from my account page and informed Paypal about the suspicious email.

I got an email from "PayPal" asking for money and it had this number to call if you thought it was a scam. Definitely don’t call or pay anything - it's all fake. Sounds like this number is part of some PayPal scam. Watch out!

Just like another user mentioned before, I got an email pretending to be PayPal asking me to pay £1299.76 for an iPhone. They said if I thought it was a scam, I should call this number to get my money back. Feels dodgy to me!

Just got an email saying over a grand has been taken from my PayPal for a phone. This Don Thoummavong guy supposedly sent me a money request. The note says something like £1299.76 was taken for an iPhone 14 Pro Max. It tells me if it's not me, to call +44-800-368-3973 straight away to cancel and get a refund. Transaction ID was something like U-18157613KV272650T. Looks dodgy to me, anyone else seen this before?
