Instead, it redirected me to a dodgy site where you can chat with someone online. This “helper” gave me two numbers: one was a genuine Verizon contact, but it only worked if you were a real customer. The other number was fake, pretending to be Verizon tech support. They claimed my computer was hacked and that they could fix it for me. Then, of course, they tried to get my personal details and money for the “fix”. Total scam - just trying to steal your info and cash.
