BEWARE OF THIS SCAM. I got an email that looked proper, saying I needed to accept the Yahoo User Agreement electronically. But when I tried to agree, it wouldn’t recognise my email at all. Instead, it redirected me to a dodgy site where you can chat with someone online. This “helper” gave me two numbers: one was a genuine Verizon contact, but it only worked if you were a real customer. The other number was fake, pretending to be Verizon tech support. They claimed my computer was hacked and that they could fix it for me. Then, of course, they tried to get my personal details and money for the “fix”. Total scam - just trying to steal your info and cash. Don’t get caught out!

At first glance, this number seems like it's from Yahoo tech support, but trust me, it's not real. The guy on the phone claimed someone in Mexico was hacking me using my IP, then pushed me to pay £200 for some upgrade. I just hung up and said no thanks to the scammer.

This number definitely isn't a real support line for any online email service. If any police department or government agency looking after law enforcement matters sees this, they really should track down these scammers and recover any cash they've already swindled from people. They usually say that email accounts connected to Russia have been hacked here in the US and then demand payment to "solve" the issue for a limited time.

So I rang this number to get help with Gmail issues, and the person on the other end said my account was hacked by someone from Russia. I just ended the call straight away.

Total scam! I got a call claiming to be from Yahoo Support saying my Yahoo email got hacked. They told me a tech would sort it out in a few days but it’d cost me £160. Definitely don’t pick up if you get a call like this!

Don't fall for it! I got a call from someone claiming to be Yahoo Support, telling me my email had been hacked. They said a tech guy would fix it within a few days and that it’d cost me about £160. Total scam, I was nearly caught out! Never ever ring back!
