10 yearsSo I rang these people, and they tried to con me by telling me I had a koobface virus, offering to 'fix' it for £179.99. Total rip-off. The guy typed a few commands like cd.. and tree in cmd, then faked a koobface message followed by a bogus popup saying my connection was infected. After all these fake warnings, he demanded £179.99. I let him access a virtual machine, not my actual computer. When I called him out on the scam, he got annoyed and started swearing in Hindi, also blocking me from typing in notepad by spamming. After half an hour, I ended the call and managed to trace the IP back to Gurgaon, with the ISP listed as Nextra Broadband.
