Got a robo call telling me my iCloud had been hacked. When I hit the button, this lady answered, claiming she was from Apple, but her accent was really thick and hard to catch. Right when a real person picked up, the first thing they wanted was my email address - I was just having a bit of fun with these scammers. So, I gave them a load of rubbish like “A TOTAL LOL,” had to say it about five times while trying not to laugh. Then the guy claimed my iCloud was hacked - yeah, sure. Acted like I was meant to be worried or something. Next, he tried telling me I’d need to pay to fix the problem. I played along and asked how much extra it’d cost if his missus came round to ‘sort me out’. That’s when things got spicy - he got proper annoyed! He fired back all sorts, so I told him since he was trying to con me, maybe his partner could come over and deal with ‘the one-eyed monster’. I keep getting calls a few times each day from someone pretending to be Apple Support. I answered once, and they claimed my account had been compromised by hackers from two different countries, Russia being one of them. During the call, they tried to convince me to pay £300 to "repair" all my Apple devices. The whole thing mentioned Apple constantly, and even local cops have been brought in on it.
