Typically, I avoid answering calls from unfamiliar numbers or ones without a proper name attached. In my experience, most of these unsolicited calls seem to be some sort of scam. I pay a small extra fee on my mobile plan for a service that provides a transcript alongside the voicemail, which I reckon is well worth it. I’d advise anyone with a mobile to look into this feature if it’s available through their provider. It lets me sift through the messages without having to pick up the phone first.
