I've received a call claiming to be from Verizon, but I strongly suspect it's a scam. Stay vigilant, folks!

Claimed to be part of the Verizon Wireless sales team, but that's far from the truth. Definitely a scam operation.

I received a rather peculiar call from an automated service claiming that I was chosen for a complimentary two-month subscription, merely because I've supposedly been a Verizon customer for two years. The catch? I don't even have a Verizon account! The message prompted me to hit 1 to accept the offer or 0 if I wished to turn it down. Quite the dodgy business, if you ask me!

I got a call from this number claiming I was eligible for a £99 rebate on my Verizon account. Right off the bat, I sensed something was amiss as Verizon never rings you up with such offers. I informed her that I would reach out to Verizon directly to confirm the rebate, and then I’d give her a bell back on this same number. She claimed that this rebate could only come through her offer and not via Verizon Customer Care. I insisted I’d still verify with Verizon and, unsurprisingly, she ended the call abruptly. I then contacted Verizon, and the representative explained that while the number was indeed associated with them, the caller was using some sort of spoofing trick to disguise the true origin of the call. I’d strongly advise against sharing any personal details with these callers; instead, keep them chatting for a bit to tie up their line and disrupt their scamming efforts.

I received a rather dubious call, claiming to be from Verizon. They mentioned that I had been overcharged and suggested providing a credit as soon as I verified my account password, address, and the last four digits of my social security number. It raised some red flags for me!

Just had a peculiar call claiming to be from Verizon, stating that they're offering a £49 refund as a thank-you for my loyalty. They insisted I needed to confirm my account access number. Sounds a bit dodgy, if you ask me! :-)

I received a letter about a poor credit rating, yet it turns out I’m eligible for mobile services. Upon looking into the contact numbers-1 888 932 2324 and 1 800 256 4646-I discovered that both are bogus. It’s recently come to my attention that someone is tracking my name and number online. Consequently, any site where I input my details from any device or place alerts this hacker. They may attempt to reach out, posing as the legitimate company, or they’ll be on standby for your call using the phoney numbers in the letter. Their aim is clearly to extract information. My advice? Do not engage with them.

I had quite a perplexing experience today! A rather puzzling letter landed in my mailbox, featuring the number 1-800-256-4646, claiming to be from Verizon. It was quite alarming as it seemed to demand extra funds due to a supposed poor credit rating and insisted on a deposit that was threefold what I had already settled with them! Feeling quite uneasy, I promptly rang up Earl at Verizon, who did a quick search on the number and confirmed it was a scam. Grateful for the heads up, Earl! What a relief it is to know the truth!

I provided my social security number, an address, my birth date, and an email, then they requested my name before abruptly hanging up on me.
