Virgin sent me a new Sim card after they changed owners, and that Sim had an address including a postcode. But I've never answered their emails asking me for a postcode - still, I keep getting these annoying spam messages. I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of premium rate scam. Too fishy if you ask me.

Got a text from 789445 supposedly Virgin Media, saying it was about a message I never got before. They asked for my postcode to send me a new SIM card because it was “urgent” so my service wouldn’t stop. Totally feels like another scam to me. What worries me is how they even got my mobile number since I hardly ever use it or share it with anyone.

Watch out, this number 789445 says it's Virgin Media and asks you to text your postcode to get a new SIM to stop service being cut off. Seems dodgy to me! Surely the posty doesn’t need a postcode if they have the full address anyway, which Virgin would already have, right? Feels like some sort of premium rate con trying to trick you.

I got a call from someone pretending to be Virgin Media asking for my address so they could supposedly send me a new sim card. Bit fishy if you ask me.
