Based on my suspicions, I believe that my mother-in-law is the one sending these messages in order to hack into my WhatsApp account.
Through some private investigation, I managed to find the email address behind these messages, confirming my suspicions.
Therefore, I chose not to reply to the message.
Instead, I decided to turn the tables and confront her. I let her know about her problem in no uncertain terms, and now she seems to leave me alone.
It was a satisfying bit of comeuppance.
