As most of you are aware, this is a fraudulent operation based abroad, clearly trying to snatch your IP address for nefarious hacking intentions. They really are tenacious! I managed to keep one of them chatting for a solid ten minutes, leading them on by claiming to be an IT director for the government (which, funnily enough, I actually am!), and contesting their ludicrous assertions regarding my home computer setup. It took them quite a while, but they eventually threw in the towel.

Absolutely! I picked up the phone and stayed silent, curious if someone from the Middle East would try to reel me in with their usual nonsense. But, as it turned out, there was just silence on the other end. A quick search revealed it belonged to the notorious Microsoft scam. I have zero patience for these unscrupulous charlatans. Yet, it seems those persistent callers just won't leave me be!
