I received a call today regarding a VISA transfer and, honestly, the person's accent was quite difficult to understand, and their grasp of English seemed rather poor. It was clearly a scam originating from Alberta, Canada. I'm left wondering why the Royal Canadian Mounted Police aren't looking into this particular number.

I've just had the exact same call that everyone's been talking about from this number. The bloke was keen to know if I had my card handy. When I asked him to repeat his name, he mentioned he was called James. However, when I pressed him for his surname, he paused a moment before settling on "Smith". I couldn't help but comment on how curious it was for someone with such a pronounced Indian accent to have a name like that. He chuckled at my remark. I informed him that I'd investigate this further by reaching out to the fraud squad at Visa. He didn’t take too kindly to that and insisted it wasn't necessary. The conversation ended there. Clearly a dodgy operation.

I just had a rather suspicious phone call from a chap who struggled to converse in English. It was evident he was dialing in from a call centre, given the cacophony of noise and chatter in the background. He claimed to represent Visa security and mentioned something about my card possibly being compromised for a $600 transfer via Western Union. He insisted I confirm that I had my card with me and then asked me to verify the card number. When I declined to comply, he abruptly ended the call. Definitely a scam if I've ever seen one!

I just had a rather puzzling phone call. When I started to ask a few questions, the caller got really irate and abruptly ended the conversation. Naturally, I decided to investigate the number further, only to discover it's registered in Alberta. It's utterly baffling to me why organisations like Visa, Western Union, and the RCMP haven't put a stop to such scams! It's incredibly disheartening to see this kind of thing persist in our own backyard, especially given that these numbers could easily be tracked down!

Just like the previous comment, I received a call from someone claiming to be with RBC, informing me about a supposed £600 transaction that they suspected was fraudulent. They then went on to request my complete card number. Naturally, I declined to share any details, and they promptly terminated the call. I immediately contacted my bank to verify this alleged charge, only to find out it was a complete fabrication. It's clearly a ploy to extract personal info, so do stay vigilant!

I had an early morning call from this number around 7:00 am, and the woman on the line addressed me by my proper name. She mentioned she was reaching out to discuss "authorisation" concerning a recent £600 charge on my Visa card. Then she inquired whether I had indeed made such a transaction. I responded that it was far too early for me to sort it out, promising I would check into it and return her call. But she ended the conversation rather abruptly. It feels like they might be preying on older folks who could be easily swayed.

A rather unsettling call came through before 8:00 in the morning. I noticed the number, 780 357-0136, and since it didn’t ring a bell, I decided to ignore it. I’m feeling a bit anxious, as just the other week, I received a rather dubious call from a number that charged the receiver instead of the one making the call. This caller intimated they were inquiring about transactions on my VISA, and shockingly, they knew my entire name. I told them I would reach out to my bank for clarification.

This morning, precisely at 7:00 am, our phone rang with a chap on the line asserting that a sum of £600 had been deducted from our credit card. The fellow had an accent that seemed to be either Asian or of Oriental origin. When I mentioned that I might involve the police, he promptly disconnected the call. It’s vital that the authorities, particularly the RCMP, take swift action regarding this scam to put an end to these fraudulent activities.

Had a rather alarming phone call this morning at half past eight, claiming I was hit with a £600 charge for a Western Union transfer linked to my credit card. When I inquired about the bank involved, they mentioned TD Bank. I can't shake the feeling that I've fallen victim to a scam! 😩

Just had three calls within a ten-minute span, all about Western Union nonsense. It was only 6:20 am, for crying out loud! My elderly father was less than pleased, insisting it was far too early for such nonsense. I even had to ring the banks out of concern for him. Honestly, I’d love to give these scammers a piece of my mind; they prey on the elderly, and it’s absolutely infuriating!

I've had a similar encounter to what others have shared. I received a call in the wee hours claiming there was a £600 transaction with Western Union. When I pressed them for some sort of identification, they went completely silent. I didn’t share my number, and before I knew it, they just cut off the line. Classic scam behaviour, I reckon.

This morning, my phone rang twice in quick succession, right between 6:15 and 6:30 am. Quite frankly, I was not amused. The initial call ended before I could even utter a word, and when they tried a second time, they barely got a greeting out before I snapped and told them to stop bothering me-particularly at such an ungodly hour!

I received a perplexing call this morning from a woman with a distinct accent, inquiring after a "Mrs. Blah blah" - not quite pronounced correctly, might I add. She went on to mention something about a charge on my Visa card and asked for confirmation. For starters, it was 7 in the morning; I highly doubt my bank would be contacting me at such an hour. Furthermore, I don’t even possess a Visa card! I told her straight that she was nothing but a scammer and should really sort her life out before hanging up in frustration. It's utterly infuriating! Just last week, I got a similarly dodgy call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft. They really ought to do more to combat these nuisances!

I received a call from someone claiming there was a £600 transaction on my credit card linked to Western Union. I told them that I had no affiliation with that company whatsoever. The caller insisted that I needed to cancel my card immediately, to which I firmly replied that I would only discuss this matter with my bank directly. Then, quite abruptly, they disconnected the call.

A woman named "Jennifer," who had an East Asian accent, rang me up to inform me about a $600 Visa transaction that supposedly went through on my card earlier today. When I asked for her employee ID and mentioned I wanted to call her back after noting down her name and number, she abruptly ended the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Just received a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be from Western Union, inquiring if I was aware of a £600 transfer linked to my credit card. Can you believe the cheek of them, ringing me at 6:45 am? I asked them if they had the right person, and they completely butchered my name-hardly recognisable! I assured them that I had no clue what they were on about, and promptly, they just hung up. What a way to start the day!
