Day one I got a quiet call, so I just ended it straight away. Next day the call was silent again, but I stayed on the line and they somehow knew my name. They said something about upgrading the security on my Visa Debit Card or something like that. I told them to shove it and then put the phone down.

Just got a ring from this number and they were asking for the last three numbers on my bank card. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call around 2.40pm today from someone claiming my number was listed with the Telephone Preference Service. He said he’d put a call blocker on my line that already has 3500 frequent nuisance numbers saved to stop cold calls. I asked, “So like this one then?” and he insisted it wasn’t a cold call. When I asked which company he was with and where he was based, he said he worked for the TPS. I told him I didn’t buy it. He said if I doubted him, I was free to just hang up. So I did.

I just ignore any calls marked as INTERNATIONAL and let them ring out till they give up. They’re always so relentless! I never pick those up.
