I just got a rather curt, truncated voicemail that mentioned something about an ‘accounts manager’ getting in touch with me soon. How charming! But honestly, I won’t be picking up for these muppets. We’re debt-free, so it’s blatantly obvious that they’re just trying to pull a fast one. Absolute nonsense!

I keep receiving these annoying calls incessantly, and to be honest, I rarely answer them. However, I picked up this time, and guess what? Not a soul on the other end. How frustrating!

I’ve noticed that the majority of those pesky telemarketers tend to ring me from long distance numbers. Generally, I reserve my mobile for such calls, though I hardly use it - it can be a tad pricey too. To avoid these annoying interruptions, I’ve gone ahead and blocked all long-distance calls on my home line. Recently, I received a call from an outfit calling themselves "The Canadian Debt Agency" based out of Vancouver, BC. Strangely enough, their robotic calling system managed to get through my filters. After a quick chat with my phone provider, the issue has been sorted. Just thought I’d share this in case it helps someone else out there!

Since my relatives reside in British Columbia, I would have picked up that call, especially with the wildfires wreaking havoc at the moment. Blasted scammers!
