Got a call from a guy, sounded like he was about 30-something, said he was a police officer collecting donations for kids getting bullied. Totally dodgy, felt like a scam.

This number has been ringing me multiple times a day at odd hours, around 2 or 3 times daily. I used to just ignore it but decided to answer today. When I called, there was a recorded message mentioning something about the Community Policing Association Care Line seeking help with joint campaigns or something similar. Then they switched to French. I managed to leave a message asking them to remove my number from their call list. Though if it turns out to be some sort of scam, I don’t expect it to help much. If the calls keep coming, I’m planning to report it to the Canada Anti-Fraud Centre.

Some bloke called saying he was a CPA and started going on about how driving with kids around is risky or something. I told him I don’t really speak English well, and then he goes, “No worries, that’s okay,” and just hung up on me.

I think this number might be linked to phone scams. A while ago, I got a call from someone pretending to be with the Canadian Police Association asking for my credit card details to "help stop cyber bullying of children." Felt dodgy to me.
