I got a call from some automated voice saying my SIN was involved in some kind of crime. Then, it went through to a bloke calling himself "Derek" who claimed he was a cop and told me my SIN had been linked to illegal stuff. He insisted I keep on the line with him, which felt off. After a quick search online, it turns out that number is nowhere near the Victoria RCMP. Definitely a scam.
