I got a call from someone claiming they were from the CRA and had some information for me. But as far as I know, the CRA doesn't phone people directly.

Got a call from this number out of the blue, said it was urgent info and then mentioned they’d sent me a letter too. Total scam, honestly. Wouldn’t recommend calling them back!

This morning I got a call from this number, didn’t know who it was so I let the answerphone pick up. Then I rang them back and some guy with a heavy accent, sounding like he was from Pakistan, started talking all strange about our alleged criminal history and unpaid taxes. He even warned that the police would show up at our place in around 45 minutes! Totally felt like a scam to me.

Had the answering machine pick up for me - it was some robo caller. They asked for a callback about a “time sensitive” matter. The number showed BC but with spoofing nowadays, it might as well have been from somewhere like Uttar Pradesh for all I know.
