I recently received a rather dodgy call from an “automated messenger” purporting to be from DHL. The recorded message insisted it was the last chance for me to retrieve a package. Now, here are the things that struck me as quite odd. Firstly, I keep tabs on all my deliveries, and I currently have nothing in transit with DHL. Secondly, this number has never contacted me before, which raises alarm bells. Being no stranger to the antics of scammers, I instinctively decided to check the number. Something about it felt really off. However, a search for 778-464-5939 yielded no affiliation with DHL whatsoever. When I turned to another reverse phone lookup service, https://www.reversecanadalookup411.com, it described the origin as Wildwood, BC, while I’m based in Vancouver, BC. Quite suspicious, indeed! In essence, I'd advise anyone to steer clear of any information relayed from this number-better safe than sorry!
