I rang the number back, and it turned out to be something to do with Medicaid and debt assistance. However, when I picked up the phone, they were inquiring about a Barbara. I asked them who this Barbara was, and their reply was rather vague - just a polite, "sorry." I instructed them to remove my number from their list, yet the calls kept coming. How frustrating!

DO A CREDIT CHECK! I had a similar experience, and it eventually led to me not getting any voicemails from anyone at all. Out of the blue, I began getting calls from random strangers in various locations. Just the other week, I did an unrelated check on my credit and discovered that it had been compromised! It turns out my number was being misused by someone to further their own agenda. What a nightmare!
